A Mother’s Prayer Answered

For years I lived in quiet desperation.

Sleep did not come easily because my mind never rested. I worried constantly about my son Daniel. I knew in my heart that God had a plan for his life, but there were seasons when it felt like he was running as hard as he could in the opposite direction.

When someone is caught in addiction and destructive decisions, it often seems like nothing else matters except the next poor choice. Watching that unfold as a parent is heartbreaking. You feel helpless. You pray. You wait. You hope the breakthrough will come.

I have always believed God had a plan for my son. Today Daniel believes that too. He understands that God’s plan for him is good.
